Like the Hunter model, the Spectrum 3 Burner now features an improved porcelain enamelled roasting hood with an inner layer for improved heat retention and more even cooking. Its warming rack is porcelain enamelled, making it non stick and easier to clean.
The side shelves of the Spectrum can fold without removing a screw, reducing its storage space. Its base is solid metal and one piece so items can be placed on it and the right side shelf has tool hooks to hang tools cleanly for convenience while cooking.
The trolley has 4 wide metal legs for stability and its side shelves are made of rebated hardwood. Rubber tyre wheels provide smooth manoeuvrability without the noise typical of plastic wheels. Each wheel has a branded wheel cover to improve its appearance.
The improved larger control knobs feature intra-spark ignition. This provides a spark to light the burner as the knob is being turned on, allowing the burner to be lit with a single hand. Each burner is made of cast iron for durability.
Its cooking surface consists of a porcelain enamelled cast iron grill and griddle. Below the grill area is a layer of lava rock which vaporises the food juice drippings produced while cooking to baste food with that smoky flavour. The griddle provides a solid flat cooking surface such as for frying fish.
